PIWI International Meeting from November 11 to 13, 2022 in Neustadt ad Weinstrasse - Germany

Members of the association "PIWI International" from Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, Poland and the Netherlands met in Neustadt aW for the annual general meeting with elections of the board. The vast program over the three days provided much input and also left room for talks and discussions: Visit of the vine nursery Freytag, lectures at the wine campus Neustadt, general meeting, dinner with wine tasting of the winning wines and visit at the winery Mohr -Gooding.
We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank Josef Engelhart for his work on the board, but who did not stand for re-election. Heinrich Leutenberger was elected as his successor on the board.

Italy and its current PIWI events

A. photo album on Facebook shows the successful event.

The first PIWI-only event started in Venice on December 3. About thirty producers from three regions were present and showcased their wines.
A round table and two master classes provided an opportunity for a wide exchange of experiences and the tastings offered the opportunity to discover the diversity of different wine styles of PIWIs.
