Winery description:

We have been cultivating our vineyards ecologically since 1994 in order to contribute to maintaining an intact soil and a diverse environment. Our vines grow in the Nahe wine-growing region, an insider tip among wine connoisseurs. We currently manage ~ 24 ha of vineyards in the districts of Rümmelsheim / Burg-Layen, Dorsheim and Laubenheim with very different types of soil: Rotliegendes, Loess. Clay, quartzite, slate weathering, porphyry and clay soils covered with gravel. As a family business, we rely more on class than on mass. Lower yields due to the ecological economy lead to a more concentrated taste profile of our wines. Due to the structure of the soil, the mineral character of Riesling or the power of Burgundy is emphasized. The expansion of the white wines in stainless steel and a long barrel maturation of the red wine are a matter of course for us in order to preserve and further express the peculiarities of the wines. As a family we enjoy working together in and with nature and are happy about the "down-to-earth" that our children get from it.
