🇦🇹 PIWI Austria Wine Award 2026

The PIWI wine competition is being organised in Austria for the eighth time.
The jury tasting will take place on 9 April 2026 at the Haidegg Experimental Station in Graz. The deadline for submissions is 2 April.

All PIWI grape varieties and PIWI cuvées as well as sparkling and semi-sparkling wines are authorised. All ageing styles are possible. All classic white wines and rosé wines are restricted to the 2024 and 2025 vintages. Only wines from Austria are authorised.

The wines are tasted by a trained panel according to the 20-point scheme. Certificates are issued for award-winning wines, and plaques can be purchased from PIWI Austria for the categories „Category Winner“: „Gold“ and „Silver“.
