„The PIWI International Wine Challenge is an international wine competition in which only PIWI wines are eligible. The aim of this competition is to demonstrate the visibility of PIWI wines and their outstanding quality and to honour the best PIWI wines.“
This year's PIWI International Wine Challenge 2026 will take place on 29 June 2026. occur.
As in the previous year, the competition will be organised by the Národní vinařské centrum, o.p.s. (National Wine Centre) Valtice, Czech Republic, in cooperation with PIWI International, with the wines being judged according to the 100-point scheme (OIV).
Organiser and introduction to the competition
The competition is organised by the Národní vinařské centrum, o.p.s. (National Wine Centre), Sobotní 1029, 691 42 Valtice, Czech Republic, in cooperation with the umbrella organisation PIWI International.
The competition complies with the national standards of wine competitions in the Czech Republic and is being held for the third time by the National Wine Centre in Valtice in cooperation with PIWI International.
Date of the tasting
The tasting will take place on 29 June 2026 at the National Wine Centre in Valtice.
The award and certificate ceremony will take place this year on 29 July in Trento and will be organised together with PIWI Italia in the Renaissance palace Palazzo Roccabruna in the city centre of Trento.
