PIWIs in the vineyard - opportunities and challenges

The Maier organic winery and ÖkoNetzBW invite you to the specialist event "Piwis in the vineyard - opportunities and challenges" on 29 October at the Maier organic winery in Baden-Baden.

Winemaker Volker Maier will talk about the selection, cultivation and processing of various fungus-resistant grape varieties (PIWIs). He will also share his experiences of converting to organic viticulture with the help of PIWIs. Afterwards we will taste different PIWIs. Andreas Dilger, PIWI winemaker and chairman of PIWI Germany, will give an overview of current trends and challenges in the marketing of PIWIs. Finally, there will be time for discussion.

The event is a specialist event and is aimed at winegrowers, trainees and all professionals from the wine industry. Further information can be found here.
