Every year we use all our passion, energy and skills to produce excellent wines. And all with the greatest respect for nature ... The Hügle family has been cultivating Heimbach's wine on the hills for generations. In 1986, Norbert and Gerda Hügle began to expand and market the wine themselves. In 1989 the entire wine-growing area was converted to organic viticulture at the suggestion of the oldest son Johannes G. Hügle and has been ECOVIN certified since 1991, and Demeter certified since 2010. Johannes Gallus Hügle, viticulture technician and consultant for ecological viticulture took over the winery 6 years ago and consistently carries out its quality management in the vineyard and cellar. The biodynamic viticulture completely dispenses with the use of insecticides and chemical weed killers, as well as chemically questionable crop protection. Through targeted promotion of the beneficial species, for example by flowering sowing between the vines and by hanging nest boxes, a natural balance in the vineyard ecosystem is maintained. Soil nutrition occurs exclusively in a natural way using organic fertilizers and sowing legumes. In addition, the preparations used in Demeter cultivation are used at certain times.
