PIWI Wine Tour 2026

This year's members' wine tour will take us to the fascinating wine regions of Trentino and South Tyrol. There we will visit both renowned and lesser-known wineries with a special focus on PIWI grape varieties. Another highlight will be the expert guided tours of the Laimburg research station in South Tyrol and the Fondazione Edmund Mach in San Michele, where we will also be able to taste selected experimental wines.

At the beginning of the trip, a festive kick-off awaits us in the impressive Renaissance palace Roccabruna in the historic centre of Trento. In this special setting, the certificates will be presented to the winning wineries of the International PIWI Wine Challenge.

Over the course of the trip, we will have numerous opportunities for exciting expert discussions with winemakers, oenologists and growers. These provide us with valuable insights into the regional wine industry as well as the special features and challenges of both regions.

Of course, there will also be plenty to enjoy: almost every wine tasting will be accompanied by regional specialities. We will also discover the cultural and historical facets of Trentino and South Tyrol.

Overnight stay: HC Hotel Garni in Cembra

This time we have included the hotel accommodation (with breakfast) in the total price. However, if you would like to arrive earlier or add a few more days, please contact the hotel directly.

Our room contingent is limited - so you need to register quickly if you want to be there!
We will again accept registrations on a first come, first serve basis.

Cost per person:
750 EUR member + accompanying person in a double room
850 EUR Member in single room
950 EUR for non-members

The price includes: Bed and breakfast, coach, all wine tastings, vineyard and city tours as well as all evening and lunch catering.

Each member can take one accompanying person with them for the same price.
The trip is only considered booked when the total amount has been paid.

Cancellation conditions:

• Cancellation of participation is free of charge until 60 days before departure possible.

• For cancellations in the period from 60 to 30 days before departure become 50 % of the travel price will be invoiced.

• For cancellations from 30 days before departure or in case of non-appearance the full travel price (100 %) to be paid.

If a replacement person is provided, this person can take over the participation after prior consultation, provided that no additional costs are incurred.

We reserve the right to make changes to the travel programme.
