Invitation to the 5th EXHIBITION WITH EVALUATION OF WINES FROM “PILZWIDERSTANDSFÄHIG GRAPES (PIWI )”
The Fondazione Edmund Mach is pleased to announce that it is organizing the
5th EXHIBITION WITH EVALUATION OF WINES FROM “PILZWIDERSTANDSFÄHIG GRAPES (PIWI )”.
The Exhibition aims to enhance and promote knowledge of these varieties through a comparison of wines produced with at least 95% grapes from PIWI varieties.
The Piwi Exhibition organized by FEM is the first one in Italy entirely dedicated to the valorisation of wines produced from these varieties. In this years it was decided to open the event to foreign wineries to enhance its prestige and achieve greater returns in terms of promotion and awareness of these wines. In this regard, we are pleased to invite you to participate in our exhibition with your products. For each category, a ranking will be established and prizes and diplomas will be awarded to the most deserving. The jury is composed of industry experts: journalists, sommeliers, researchers, oenologists and wine technicians, restaurateurs who will be called upon to evaluate your wines and to disseminate and promote their quality.
For the V edition, seven categories have been identified:
· Red Wines
· White Wines
· White wines with prolonged maceration “Orange”
· Classic Method Sparkling Wines
· Charmat Method Sparkling Wines
· Sparkling Wines
· Wines from grapes subject to drying (residual sugar > 5 g/l)
