I have been working as a consultant in viticulture for 28 years. As a co-initiator and founding member of PIWI International, PIWI grape varieties and the promotion of their cultivation have played an important role for me from the very beginning. Sustainable organic viticulture and reducing the use of pesticides in viticulture through the increased cultivation of PIWI grape varieties - this is what I would like to continue to work towards in the future.

I have been chairman of PIWI Austria since 2016 and have worked in wine research for over 25 years, with a focus on PIWI.
PIWI International is to be the umbrella organization and central hub for the international PIWI network.

As Dipl.-Ing. (FH) I worked in sales and marketing for many years, with many contacts in other European countries. Sustainable nutrition, especially with wine, is my special topic. That's why I'm involved with PIWI International and Slow Food and I want to convince as many wine drinkers as possible of PIWI's.

As a research assistant at BOKU University and part-time winemaker, I am passionate about representing the topic of PIWIs and testing their future viability with regard to abiotic and biotic stress factors - both in the laboratory and in the field. I therefore consider the professional exchange and learning from and with each other to be core competencies of the PIWI international association and am delighted to be able to contribute.

I have been working with PIWI vines all my life since 1985. I was a member of a team that imported promising new varieties from European research institutes and also dealt with new varieties of PIWI grape varieties. Since 1996 I have been cultivating 2.3 hectares of PIWI varieties in organic cultivation and offering NATURVIN wine. My task and also the goal is to establish "PIWI - Czech Republic" in 2021!

I have been involved in winemaking for more than 12 years and manage a 2 hectare PIWI organic vineyard in Klagenfurt, Carinthia. The PIWIs are close to my heart - tasty, innovative and suitable for grandchildren! As a cultural manager, I organize various festivals that mainly have to do with wine and cultural education.
